M-Brace Orthodontics offers quality specialist orthodontic care for children and teens. We are friendly and highly experienced in the treatment of children and teenagers alike with remarkable results.
NHS Orthodontic Treatments
All assessments for NHS treatment must be initiated and sent to us by your dentist. Only child patients who are under 18 years old and have moderate to complex orthodontic problems will qualify for free NHS treatment.
NHS treatment normally involves the use of removable braces, the traditional metal fixed braces with colours and clear removable retainers.
During your consultation you will be assessed to determine whether you are eligible for treatment under the NHS. This is done using a set of measurements known as the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN). You can read more about IOTN here.
Appointments normally take place every 6 to 8 weeks and treatment takes between 12 to 24 months.
Private Orthodontic Treatments
If NHS funding is not granted or if your child is having orthodontic treatment for purely cosmetic reasons (or you just do not want to wait for NHS treatment), we offer a private patient scheme which provides NHS style treatment at affordable cost which can be spread across the length of the treatment.
Private treatment also offer a wider range of treatments using the latest techniques, braces and aligners from all leading manufactures. There is no delay in waiting for approval and treatment can start immediately.
Also, you can take advantage of our after-school / after-work appointments, ensuring that there is not disruption to school or work.
For private treatments we accept payment by cash, cheque and all major credit or debit cards. We also offer interest-free payment plans, by regular standing orders.
